Summit Village is a Planned Unit Development established in Douglas County Nevada in 1974. At the time of incorporation, the county did not provide services for snow removal, roadway repairs or refuse service. The developers of the “Village” were required to form an Association in order to provide for the basic services needed.
The Village consists of 311 units comprised of mainly single family homes, and duplexes, with a few 4-, 6-, 8-plexes. Residents consist of full-time owner, long-term tenants, and second homes.
In Summit Village, the maintenance of units, stairs, decks and walkways are the sole responsibility of the property owners as individuals or as a group in the case of sub-associations. The Association was formed for the purpose of maintaining and removing snow on Village roads and common area parking, as well as providing trash removal for our membership.
The Association also provides architectural governance over design changes to the exterior of the units, including governance over the encroachment of property onto common area parcels. Assessments are $605.00 per unit developed, $302.50 per potential undeveloped unit, due January 1st and July 1st of each year. Late fees are $25 per month, if dues are not received by the 10th of that month. If you need assistance, please contact the community manager.
